At Lumi Place CIC, everything we offer on Sundays is made possible thanks to generosity, teamwork, and community spirit.
🌍 Where Does the Food Come From?
We receive food donations from a variety of sources, including:
Local supermarkets and retailers - Aldi, Lidl, Sainsbury, Co-Op, Pret and Umrah Supermarket
Food redistribution charities
Community partners and supporters
Direct donations from individuals
Much of the food we receive would otherwise go to waste — but it’s still good, safe, and perfectly usable. By redistributing this food, we help both people and the planet.
🛒 What Can I Get on a Sunday?
When you visit us on a Sunday, you’ll find a range of free food items, including:
Fresh fruit and vegetables
Bread and baked goods
Dry goods like pasta, rice, and tins
Occasionally dairy, frozen, or chilled items
Snacks and drinks (when available)
Availability changes each week, depending on what we receive — but we always do our best to offer a fair and useful selection to every visitor.
🙌 How It Works
We open at 09:00 AM every Sunday.
First come, first served — we distribute until food runs out.
Bring your own bags or use a basket provided on site.
There’s no cost, no forms, and no judgement. Everyone is welcome.
