Monday food giveaway

🟣 Lumi Place Monday Food Redistribution – The Most Beautiful Chaos in New Ferry

MONDAY FOOD REDISTRIBUTION RULES

Because apparently even bananas need terms and conditions.

Please have a quick read before joining us on Monday morning.

Food redistribution starts at 8:45am.

Please do not arrive ridiculously early and form a queue before the birds have even had breakfast. There is no prize for being first.

One food bag per person. We want to help as many people as possible, so please do not ask for three bags for your neighbour, cousin, auntie, invisible friend and someone who "might come later".

T

he standard contribution is £3 per food bag.

This £3 is important. We collect food from several locations and that means fuel, bags, transport and running costs. The food may be donated, but unfortunately petrol stations have still refused to accept good intentions as payment.

If you genuinely cannot afford £3, please speak to us. We will not leave someone without food because they are struggling.

But if you can afford it, please pay the £3. The system only works when everyone who can contribute does their bit.

Frozen KFC chicken, when available, is also £3 per bag and is usually available later in the morning.

Please be respectful to staff, volunteers and other people waiting. Shouting, pushing, arguing or behaving like the last banana on Earth is inside the building will not make the queue move faster.

T

ake what you need, use what you take, and please remember this is food redistribution, not an all inclusive supermarket sweep.

Thank you for helping us keep Monday mornings running, keep the van moving and keep food reaching people who need it.
